Das Programm der SUBURBAN DIVAS bewegt sich im groovigen Spannungsfeld zwischen Soul, R&B und Motown, immer wieder gewürzt mit jazzy und funky vibes, immer tanzbar – rockige Einlagen sind nie ganz auszuschließen.
Dabei werden die üblichen Gassenhauer bewusst vermieden und stattdessen Handverlesenes zelebriert – alles Klassiker in geradezu unerhörten Versionen: Etwa Neil Young, Joni Mitchell und Bill Withers in der Version der schwedischen Jazzsängerin Ida Sand, Paul Simon interpretiert von Miley Cyrus, die Beatles aus der Perspektive von Tom Jones, Queen verfeinert von Postmodern Juke Box oder den Scary Pockets…
